As soon as your container shipment leaves the port by ship, the shipping company/shipbroker will submit the exit manifest to Customs using the service Cargo declaration export EDI. As an exporter or forwarder, you need do nothing further about this. All we need from you are those five basic items of information about your export shipment – the ECS notification .
