Customs and Portbase have agreed that the ECS solution for the container sector will be implemented first. For companies active in dry bulk, liquid bulk and general cargo, Portbase has developed a separate ECS solution.The following services will become available to them in the mid 2010:
These services will allow terminals and agents in these sectors to easily comply with the new Customs obligations that arise from the European Union’s Export Control System (ECS).
